During the event, more than 500 intangible cultural heritage (ICH) performers from Guzhang County, all dressed in ethnic costumes, paraded through the streets, providing citizens with a colorful visual feast of ICH.
The either side of the stage was adorned with slogans such as “tell China’s ICH stories well and establish a cultural and ecological protection zone”, catching people’s attention.
The lively drum beats accompanied by graceful and agile movements in the Miao children’s drum dance performance left a deep impression on the audience, showing how production and physical labor are carried out with drumming, and how ethnic culture is spread.
Guzhang County will continue to focus on cultural and tourism integration to promote rural revitalization. It plans to conduct a variety of cultural activities both online and offline in places such as government departments, scenic areas, and schools to let more people know about ICH and experience the charm of traditional culture.
